More Obama Lies: Signing Statement on $106B War Bill

President Obama signed the $106 billion war-spending bill into law Friday, but not without taking a page from his predecessor and ignoring a few elements in the legislation.

Buchanan: Climate Bill Is Transfer Of Wealth To World Government

During an appearance on MSNBC, political commentator Pat Buchanan correctly defined the “Climate Bill” for what it really is, not just a new tax on the American people, but a complete transfer of power and wealth to a global government that is using the manufactured fear of global warming to grease the skids for total domination.

RED ALERT: The Total Takeover Of America Enters Its Final Phase

The wholesale looting of America and the transfer of wealth and power over to a private banking elite who are setting up a world government, along with the complete obliteration of any remaining freedom to protest, resist, or even speak out against this agenda, is now entering its final phase as numerous different pieces of the jigsaw puzzle fall into place and portray a clear picture of tyranny.

Tyranny, comming to a farm near you

Henry Waxman, you have exposed yourself as a traitor to freedom with the bill HR 2749.  This bill is a direct threat to any small farmer or food producer, and thus every food consumer in the US.

Are we all terrorists?

Are we all terrorists?  According the the US gvt. it seems that way.
A new Army report show that just being a protestor is an act of terrorism.  If this doesn’t fly in the face of the 1st ammendment then I don’t know what does.

World Crops Under Stress From COOLING

Beyond Golden Rice: The Rockefeller Foundation’s long-term agenda behind Genetically Modified Food
A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.’ – Ted Turner to Audubon Magazine, 1996

In an April 18th 2009 article on the development of GM-Food for the African continent, ‘Strange Fruit: Could genetically modified foods offer a solution to the world’s food crisis? the author mentions that the Rockefeller Foundation has recently set out to fund the process of ‘biofortified rice’ for third world nations, invented by a Swiss scientist named Ingo Potrykus.

Global Warming Petition Signed by 31,478 Scientists

Madam Speaker, before voting on the "cap-and-trade'' legislation, my colleagues should consider the views expressed in the following petition that has been signed by 31,478 American scientists:
"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

More Data Casting Doubts on Green Shoots Theories

The bits of evidence that provided the strongest support to green shoots backers have been the rise in stock prices and possible signs of slowing in job losses. However, the rally warrants considerable critical scrutiny. First. violent rallies are more characteristic of bear market head fakes than new bull markets. And this rally has featured big gains in the old leadership groups, namely financials, when new bull markets feature the emergence of new leadership groups. Volume has been underwhelming, when bull markets tend to feature rising volume. Last and most troubling have been the signs of ham-handed market manipulation. We've had four days in the last two weeks of tape-painting in the closing minutes, with near vertical trajectories in major indices.

TARP Overseer: Run the Stress Tests Again, as Economic Conditions Have “Blown Past” Even the Worst-Case Scenario Used in the First Round

The Congressionally-appointed panel overseeing the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) recommends running again the stress tests on US banks, as economic conditions have worsened, its chair, Harvard University professor Elizabeth Warren, told CNBC Tuesday.
"We actually make recommendations to do it all over again right now," Warren told "Squawk Box."
"We've already blown past the worst-case scenario on unemployment," she added.

California contemplates ultimate reform - no welfare

Could California become the first state in the nation to do away with welfare?
That doomsday scenario is on the table as lawmakers wrestle with a staggering $24.3 billion budget deficit.
County welfare directors are "in shock" at the very idea of getting rid of CalWORKs, which has been widely viewed as one of the most successful social programs in the state's history, said Bruce Wagstaff, director of the Department of Human Assistance in Sacramento.
"It's difficult to come up with the right adjective to react to this," Wagstaff said. "It would be devastating to the people we serve."

Oakland Considers Bankruptcy

Oakland city officials have discussed the possibility of declaring bankruptcy to deal with the city's massive budget deficit, according to the Chron. The idea has some merit, especially if the $67 million federal grant for policing doesn't come through. Oakland's main problem is high employee salaries and benefits that it can no longer afford, particularly in the police and fire departments. But the city can't cut worker compensation significantly without union approval. As a result, Oakland may be forced to lay off large numbers of people and make painful cuts in services. In fact, without the federal grant, Oakland may be have to lay off more than 200 cops, which is untenable in a city with so much crime.

Why the Present Depression Will Be Deeper than the Great Crash of 1929

by understanding the causes of the Great Depression as elucidated by Galbraith, we can observe the differences between the present and 1929. These reveal why today's Depression will be even deeper than the 1929-1941 one and why today's policy "fixes" as pursued by that great student of Depression, Ben Bernanke, are fighting the last war--a Keynesian stimulus strategy doomed to catastrophic failure.

Air France crash killed two prominent illegal arms foes

The puzzling crash of Air France’s Flight 447 killed two of the world’s “most prominent” illegal arms trade and international drug trafficking foes, according to a little-noticed report.
In a revelation sure to fuel conspiracy theories over the plane’s demise, the report reveals that two key figures in the neverending internecine battle against global arms and drug trafficking perished when the plane abruptly fell out of the sky. Both were particularly active in efforts to stem illegal arms trading in Latin America.

Yes, We're STILL In a Depression

Given the soaring stock market, are we still in a serious slump?
Yes:
  • Thursday, economics professors Barry Eichengreen and Kevin H. O'Rourke determined that today's crisis is at least as bad as the Great Depression, world industrial production continues to track closely the 1930s fall - with no clear signs of ‘green shoots’- and world stock markets and world trade are still following paths far below the ones they followed in the Great Depression.

  • On May 7th, Investment advisor, risk expert and "Black Swan" author Nassim Nicholas Taleb said "The current global crisis is “vastly worse” than the 1930s because financial systems and economies worldwide have become more interdependent."
Sorry, folks, we're not out of the woods yet.
If you didn't know we're in a depression, see this.

President Carter and Head of Coalition Forces in Iraq Both Open to Prosecuting Those Who Ordered Torture

After Downing Street has the story:
General Ricardo Sanchez, the former top coalition commander in Iraq, called for a Truth Commission so we might fully understand the failure of the military and civilian command to honor the pledge of our constitution.
Sanchez . . .stressed that the outcome must embrace a variety of solutions, including prosecution.
Sanchez stated, "When the president made the declaration that the Geneva Conventions no longer apply, we unleashed the hounds of hell and eliminated all the foundations for the training, ethics and structure we had built into our soldiers and our leaders for how to conduct these kinds of operations."
Sanchez stated many problems could be traced to loyalties to individuals and political parties.
Former President Jimmy Carter is also calling for a truth commission with the possibility of prosecution:
“[I] like to see is a complete examination of what did happen, the identification of any perpetrators of crimes against our own laws or against international law,” said Carter. “And then after all that’s done, decide whether or not there should be any prosecutions.”

NASA Study Acknowledges Solar Cycle, Not Man, Responsible for Past Warming

While the NASA study acknowledged the sun's influence on warming and cooling patterns, it then went badly off the tracks. Ignoring its own evidence, it returned to an argument that man had replaced the sun as the cause current warming patterns. Like many studies, this conclusion was based less on hard data and more on questionable correlations and inaccurate modeling techniques.
The inconvertible fact, here is that even NASA's own study acknowledges that solar variation has caused climate change in the past. And even the study's members, mostly ardent supports of AGW theory, acknowledge that the sun may play a significant role in future climate changes.

Arnold's Cuts Would Make California "Unrecognizable," Nearly All Target Poor Residents

“Government doesn’t provide services to rich people,” Mike Genest, the state’s finance director, said on a conference call with reporters on Friday. “It doesn’t even really provide services to the middle class.” He added: “You have to cut where the money is.”

Oh, yeah?!?
What about tax breaks for the wealthy and major corporations?!?
As reported in:
http://www.calitics.com/diary/8460/why-california-must-tax-the-wealthy
"One of the aspects of the political economy of last 30 years has been tax cuts for the wealthy. This ensured that government was starved of revenue in the bad times, and unable to catch up, not to mention get ahead by providing adequate services and saving for a rainy day in the good times.
California has been the poster child for this. Since 1978 we have steadily excluded wealth from taxation. Since 1993 we have given $12 billion in tax cuts and tax breaks. Corporate taxes were around 9% in 1981 and are now below 5%, yet corporations have provided neither wage growth nor stable jobs to the state, and our core services are underfunded.
As a result the poorest among us now bear the largest share of the tax burden. The lowest 20% income brackets pay 11.7% of their income in state and local taxes, whereas the top 4% pay only 7.1% of their income. The result is that lower income Californians have a higher tax burden - but get less in return for those taxes. Our income tax is also flawed in that there is only one bracket for people making between $47,500 and $999,999."
If you don't find that this qualifies as "services" for the very wealthy, I don't know what does.

Obama Justice Department Continues Bush's 'State Secrets' Argument...Again

In a court filing submitted in the middle of the night, President Obama's Justice Department is continuing the "state secrets" argument of his predecessor in litigation over the National Security Agency's Terrorist Surveillance Program.
In the middle of the night the Justice Department filed its response in the court case, telling a federal judge, who has ordered it to disclose information in the case, that Justice is still asserting the state secrets privilege.
"The Government has merely declined voluntarily to agree to a protective order that would, in the Government's view, require disclosures that would irretrievably compromise important national security interests," the Justice Department filing said.

Leading organizations and activists in the anti-war movement have issued unified condemnation of the Israeli assault on Gaza that has left more than 750 killed, including numerous children, and thousands seriously injured. While U.S. politicians have nearly unanimously endorsed Israel’s assault, abstaining from a successful UN resolution demanding a ceasefire, anti-war groups have taken swift action to pressure politicians to endorse a ceasefire.

Corruption Eats Into Iraqis' Food Rations

Amidst unemployment and impoverishment, Iraqis now face a cutting down of their monthly food ration - much of it already eaten away by official corruption. "When the Americans came to occupy Iraq, they promised us a better life," Ina'm Majeed, a teacher at a girls school told IPS in Fallujah. "After killing our sons and husbands, they are killing us by hunger now. The food ration that was once enough for our survival is now close to nothing, and the market prices are incredibly high. It is impossible for 80 percent of Iraqis now to buy the same items they used to get from the previous regime's food rations."

Imagine an expensive and painful vaccine that...
* "treats" a minor disease that usually goes away
without symptoms and is easily avoidable through
simple precautions
* claims to prevent cancer - and doesn't
* actually increases risks of medical complications
by nearly 50% in untested recipients who may
already have this minor disease
And here's the punchline:
Politicians throughout the world would like to
legally FORCE this vaccine on young girls against
their parent's wishes.

is evidence in the Torah to justify this stand.
